The nomination procedure has opened for next year's All Party Parliamentary Jazz Appreciation group Awards, organised by jazz loving peers and MPs and sponsored by music industry body PPL.

Hipster Norwegians go on the road

Cult Norwegian freewheeling jazztronica group Jaga Jazzist are on tour next month. The group, Mathias Eick (trumpet), Anders Hana (guitar), Even Ormestad (bass), Andreas Mjos (vibraphone), Line Horntveth (tuba), Martin Horntveth (drums), Lars Horntveth, (tenor sax), Andreas Schei (keyboards), Ketil Einarsen (flute) and Erik Johannessen (trombone) was formed 11 years ago in Tonsberg (near Oslo) while some of their members were scarcely out of short trousers.
