Multi-instrumentalist Philip Clemo launched his latest long-player, Dream Maps, with a performance at Kings Place, London on 14 September. Released by All Colour Arts, the album, Clemo's sixth, includes celebrated Norwegian trumpeter and singer Arve Henriksen, alongside Byron Wallen (trumpet, flugelhorn), Emily Burridge and Peter Gregson (cellos), Thomas Bloch (ondes Martenot, glass harmonica) and Evi Vine (voice).
Exemplifying the disarmingly mesmeric multilayered vistas for which he's become known, Dream Maps finds Clemo extending his focus to disparate topics such as the power of language and human magnetism, our constant desire for distraction and, more specifically, his Orcadian grandfather who fought in the trenches of Ypres during the First World War.
