Gilad Atzmon, Curios And Omar Puente For Canary Wharf This Weekend |

The Canary Wharf Jazz Festival opens tomorrow with Martha Lewis’ Café Aman. The free entry four-day fest in London’s Docklands features violinist Omar Puente with his nine-piece Cuban band, Tom Cawley’s Curios and the Gilad Atzmon Orient House Ensemble who will hit the Wharf to top the bill on Saturday night. Other highlights include saxophonists Soweto Kinch and James Morton whose new quartet Porkchop also features Kasabian drummer Ian Matthews, and upcoming singers Lizzy Parks and Lauren Dalrymple. Young Walthamstow band the Twelves Trio will also perform at the festival which reaches a peak on Sunday night with composer Mike Westbrook reprising his influential album Off Abbey Road. There are 12 acts scheduled to perform at the free entry event, which is based in Canada Square Park.
