Acoustic Ladyland returned to the fray this summer with a new guitar-fuelled line up featuring Leeds-based axe-merchant Chris Sharkey and a scorching new album, Living With A Tiger. Lead by saxophonist Pete Wareham the band will also be releasing a single of their anthemic song, ‘The Mighty Q’, dedicated to Wareham’s young son Quincy. Fans and musicians alike will be offered the chance to remix the song by downloading different sections from their website, while several big names are lined up to provide official remixes that will be available on an EP of the track. The four piece, which also features drummer Seb Rochford and bassist Ruth Goller, heads out on a short UK tour this autumn. Dates so far announced include Puregroove Records, London in-store gig (29 October), Barden’s Boudoir, London (30 October), The Borderline, London (9 December) and Mr Kyps, Poole (16 December) Jon Newey
