It could well be worth your while braving the elements tonight to catch the first major public performance by new youth orchestra the Tomorrow's Warriors Youth Jazz Orchestra (TWYJO). Created by bassist Gary Crosby the orchestra is made up of 15-19 year olds seeking to make that next step into the world of jazz performance. Tomorrow’s Warriors, Crosby’s nurturing organisation that was founded back in 1991, has been in residence at the South Bank Centre in London during the autumn and tonight’s performance at the Clore Ballroom in the South Bank Centre is one aspect of the residency’s work. TWYJO is the progression route for young jazz musicians to join Tomorrow's Warriors professional ensemble, Tomorrow's Warriors Jazz Orchestra. Spot the stars of the future tonight at 6pm. Admission is free.
