Jazz breaking news: Peter Erskine, Brian Kellock and Colin Steele for Fife Jazz Fest

The Kingdom of Fife in Scotland may not be the obvious place to think of for a jazz festival but next month sees an ambitious three-day jazz fest based in Fife running from 4-7 February with a national and international line-up.

One of the stand out events is a collaboration between Fife and the most northerly of Sweden’s regions, Norrbotten with the visit of The Norrbotten Big Band plus A list drummer Peter Erskine.

The locally-based Fife Jazz Orchestra and newly formed New Columbians will also take part in the festival and on the trad side Acker Bilk is also heading for Fife.
