To celebrate their fifth year of activity the Loop Collective is taking over the Vortex Jazz club in London for a five-day festival featuring performances from Loop members, collaborations and guest bands from other top European collectives plus Loop friends including F-ire, Yolk, LIMA and Umlaut. Taking place from the 17-21 Feb the Loop Friends Series kicks off with Seb Rochford and John Burton.

Loop is a collective of musicians that was founded in 2005 in London. Its members represent a generation of like-minded jazz musicians who wanted to create a network of shared resources and a platform for artistic collaborations, events organisation and the promotion of recorded creative music.

Festival dates include: Seb Rochford + Leafcutter John, Sam Crockatt and Alex Bonney’s Tribute To Ayler (Wed 17); Dog Soup, Tom Mix and Phronesis (18 Feb); Yolk, Blink, Dave Manington’s Riff-Raff, Golden Age of Steam (19 Feb); Ma, Fringe Magnetic, Umlaut, Gemini (20 Feb); Matt Bourne, Outhouse and Ivo Neame 4tet (21 Feb).
