Wayne Shorter – Cosmic Crusader

Wayne Shorter's new triple-album, Emanon, finds the 85-year-old legend still looking forward after nearly 60 years of musical innovation. Accompanying his string-driven orchestrations with a graphic novel, it draws upon the saxophonist's life-long love of comic books. Stuart Nicholson spoke with Shorter about the narrative behind this audio-visual feast and places it within the wider context of his formidable canon
