New group Z-U (reeds player Shabaka Hutchings, bassist Neil Charles and drummer Tom Skinner), thought to be on the verge of signing to Babel records, is set to host a new monthly residency at the Hayward Gallery’s Concrete Bar in London’s Southbank Centre. The session, known as Trouble Tune, kicks off tomorrow night, from 6pm, with Z-U and special guest Ingrid Laubrock plus DJs and live visuals. Next month Trouble Tune returns on 17 November with electronics artist Leafcutter John from Polar Bear guesting.
