Bassist, pianist, steel-pan player – Mick Hutton’s (pictured) known for his verve and versatility. He’s worked with a strikingly wide range of musicians, from Humphrey Lyttelton to Pharoah Sanders, and on 8 July will collaborate for the first time with his son Josh – who’s quickly establishing himself as a producer and composer – to raise funds for Diabetes UK.
Taking place in the relaxed settings of 36 South Molton Lane, Mayfair, London W1, the gig will showcase a series of experimental soundscapes written by Josh (who’ll be playing guitar), interspersed with some more straight-ahead sounds from Mick. All proceeds go to charity. Concert starts at 3.00pm on Sunday 8 July. Tickets £5 each, available on the door.
