New licensing agreement for Marsalis Music

Saxophonist Branford Marsalis is one of the few leading jazz musicians to have held a position as an A&R for a major record company, a position he held at Columbia in the late 1990s. Since leaving the multinational, Marsalis went on to set up his own record company Marsalis Music in 2002 which has put out his own records and discs by a small number of similarly inclined artists. But now the circle has turned once again with Marsalis' label now licensed to Universal and a major reissuing of the Marsalis Music label back catalogue under way, plus a new disc by Harry Connick Jr. Discs for reissue include The Branford Marsalis Quartet albums Footsteps Of Our Fathers, Romare Bearden Revealed, Eternal and Coltrane's A Love Supreme, the Marsalis Family disc A Jazz Celebration and albums by Harry Connick jr, Joey Calderazzo, Miguel Zenon and Doug Wamble.
